Supershapes (Superformula) in 2D are generalisations of the superellipse used to describe complex curves.
3D supershapes are obtained by spherical products of two 2D supershapes.
The composition morphs between several 3D shapes. Instead of drawing an isosurface, the vertices are displayed individually as spheres, then a custom X-Ray lighting shader is applied.
